Avizva

AVIZVA Reston, located in Reston, USA, was a unique design project undertaken during the COVID era. Our role focused exclusively on conceptualizing and styling the interior space to align with Avizva’s brand ethos. While the principal architectural firm, A2 Design Inc. from Washington, handled space planning, MEP, and construction documentation, we were brought in to select materials, FF&E, and finishes that reflected the brand’s personality. This project was all about the “fun stuff,” allowing us to focus on aesthetics and creating a cohesive and engaging environment.

The primary challenge of the AVIZVA Reston project was to align the interior design with Avizva’s brand identity while collaborating remotely with stakeholders and suppliers during the pandemic. Navigating communication constraints and the inability to conduct in-person design reviews, we had to ensure that the material and product selections would translate into a cohesive design. Additionally, the space needed to reflect Avizva’s Indian roots subtly and thoughtfully without disrupting the modern office environment.

We addressed the challenge by meticulously curating materials, furniture, and finishes that balanced functionality with Avizva’s brand ethos. The reception area greets visitors with a contemporary desk, complemented by the iconic Herman Miller Eames Plywood Arm Chairs and a West Elm carpet echoing Indian patterns. The workspace integrates walnut-finished linear tables from Teknion with standout white Sabrina chairs, creating a perfect balance of form and function. The breakout area combines beloved design pieces—including the Muuto Rest Sofa, Knoll’s Womb Chair, the Platner coffee table, and Magis’ playful Spin chair—to foster casual interaction and creativity. The inclusion of greenery and personalized accents by the client gave the office a warm, unique personality, resulting in a space that is both functional and inspiring.
