Designing Cleo required striking a balance between bold maximalism and a cohesive aesthetic. The challenge lay in harmonizing an array of rich materials—such as dark marble, walnut wood, gold, and crystal—without overwhelming the space. The home needed to reflect the family’s personal taste while accommodating functional elements like the dining area’s eclectic crockery display. Additionally, integrating features such as an indoor water element, double seating areas, and a seamless flow between spaces was critical to achieving the desired luxurious yet practical environment.
The design team embraced maximalism with thoughtful curation of materials and elements. The dark Emperador marble flooring was chosen as the unifying feature, creating a monolithic base that ties the entire apartment together. This was complemented by dark walnut wood finishes and soft fabrics, accented with gold and crystal details, to achieve a luxurious yet balanced look.
In the living room, a double seating arrangement was designed to maximize functionality and comfort, while an indoor water feature elegantly separates the bar from the seating area. White marble-clad walls further elevate the space, adding brightness and elegance. The dining area features a bespoke unit that wraps around the wall, showcasing the family’s eclectic crockery collection while maintaining a cohesive design.
